Are you attending?
Gifts
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. We completely understand that attending is already a generous gift in itself, but if you’d like to contribute further, we would be so grateful. For those who wish to give, we’ve set up a way for you to contribute to our honeymoon fund, which would mean so much to us as we begin this next chapter together.
Accomodation
The wedding venue is located in Kalamaria, a town that sits in between the Airport and the City Center, where you will find multiple offerings to every budget. As the venue doesn’t have an accommodation we recommend you find the one that fits you best for the time before and after the wedding.
We would highlight two places closer to the venue, Athlos Hotel and September Hotel:
– Athlos Hotel for the sports athletes, 3 min by car from the venue for 104€ (2 person per night plus Climate Change fees, at the time of writing)
– September Hotel rated with Five Stars, is 11 min by car from the venue, we think could be ideal if you want to enjoy the pool day before the wedding party. We are negotiating a group booking for 175€ p/night (2 person per night plus Climate Change fees), please contact us with your interest .

Transport
We recommend getting to Thessaloniki by airplane to the local SKG Airport but you may always be more adventurous by train.
By Airplane
SKG – Thessaloniki Airport Makedonia
Address: Airport – Thessaloniki National Road, Thessaloniki 55103, Greece

By train
Long-distance trains from Thessaloniki railway station are run by Hellenic Train to Athens, Alexandroupolis, Larissa, and Florina. International long-distance operators used to include Bulgarian Railways, Serbian Railways and Makedonski Železnici, to Sofia, Belgrade and Skopje railway station respectively.
Getting around in Thessaloniki:
Taxi
If you plan to stay within venue and city center you might consider using the local Taxi network of transport platforms such as Uber or FreeNow. Cost estimates:
– City center to/from Airport > €25-€30 during the day (fixed rate often €25) and more at night, taking about 30 minutes, but be aware of potential extra fees for luggage, night hours, and extra charges for drivers overcharging foreigners.
– City Center and Ippikos between 20-30€
– September Hotel and Ippikos between 8 and 10€
Renting a car
If you plan to travel to Halkidki renting a car is recommended. There’s the know international providers such as Avis/Budget, Enterprise, Hertz/Thrifty and Sixt at the airport, as well as the greek company Avance (with we can vouch for after using it in 2024).
Please share your plans with us in terms of where you plan to stay, as we may hire a one-way Bus transport from Hotel to the venue before the wedding, in case there’s a preferred accommodation for most guests.
About Thessaloniki
Thessaloniki is Greece’s vibrant second city, where history, culture, and seaside life come together effortlessly. Founded over 2,300 years ago, the city blends Roman and Byzantine landmarks with a lively modern spirit, known for its welcoming atmosphere, café culture, and exceptional food. Walking along the waterfront at sunset, exploring the old town (Ano Poli), or enjoying local mezze by the sea offers a true taste of northern Greece.

Just a short drive from the city lies Halkidiki, one of Greece’s most beautiful coastal regions. Famous for its three peninsulas, Halkidiki is known for crystal-clear waters, golden beaches, pine forests, and relaxed seaside villages. Whether you’re looking for peaceful nature, swimming in turquoise bays, or long lunches by the sea, Halkidiki offers the perfect escape—and a wonderful extension to your stay for our wedding celebration.
If you wish to extend your stay in Greece before or after the wedding, we drafted a few short guides to help.
